Meet Laura Alarcon-Almeida, Infant & Toddler Educator

Updated: Apr 12, 2019

The Vivvi community is excited to announce Laura Alarcon-Almeida as one of our first faculty members for our flagship campus at 75 Varick Street. Laura joins Lynne and Navita, and the growing list of new faculty members to take the vision behind our inquiry-based model and bring it to reality. We will offer new teacher announcements every Friday.

About Laura

Laura joins Vivvi as Co Head Teacher in our Infant & Toddler Classrooms. She most recently served as a Head teacher in infant & toddler through 2s classrooms as part of the Bright Horizons Network. There are many aspects of Laura’s experience that impressed the Vivvi team including her experience working with children as young as infants to 5 years old. What really stood out is Laura’s ability to organize an infant classroom curriculum and communicate daily milestones to families. Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude in Psychology and Women Studies and an Associate of Arts with Honors in Human Services and Mental Health both from the City University of New York.

Born in Manizales, Columbia, Laura loves to cook and bring her culinary skills into the classroom.

Welcome Laura!
